3 reasons you NEED a social media manager

“Social media is not a media. The key is to listen, engage, and build relationships.”

It is nearly impossible to find someone who is not on social media nowadays. Over 3.96 Billion people use social media which is a 4.8% increase from the past year (Oberlo). Within those who are on social media, it is found that the average time spent on social media is 147 minutes daily (Statista). This provides 147 minutes daily to interact with your ideal audience. Every minute you have is precious and if you do not use it correctly you could lose them forever. How do you deal correctly with those on social media? Well, one of the best ways is to hire a social media manager. Here are three reasons you should hire a social media manager.

1. You need a strategy

Do you know what platforms you should be on? How about what to post to draw better engagement? Do not feel too down if you do not know how to do these things. Unless you have taken the time to study social platforms one usually does not understand. However, a social media manager does. They take part of their job to study and understand what it takes to stand out on social media. A social media manager will study your business and the platforms and figure out how to best mix the two in order to help meet your business goals.

2. You want to keep up consistency

Keeping up with social media may not seem like the most important part of your marketing plan; however, consistency within your social platforms creates an attachment with your clients. They feel like they are being placed on a podium if you interact with them on social media, they feel important. The ability to keep interacting with your ideal audience and make sure you are staying consistent within your social platforms can be overwhelming. It is a social media manager's job to keep you consistent through your platforms and save you time by doing it for you.

3. You want to be ahead of the updates

A social media manager takes the time to research, educate, and stay up to date with the changes and updates to each platform. Instead of you sending someone from your team whose main job is not within social media and paying for them to sort of grasp what it is that is happening on social platforms a social media manager will make sure to stay up to date and consistently educate themselves. They know what to listen for and how to input it into your platforms. And the best part is that it is on their dollar and not yours!
